Blessed Days
The Islamic year is not a flat line. It turns - moon by moon - and within its turning are days kept apart: for fasting, for standing, for sending ṣalawāt, for sitting quietly with the Book. This is a small almanac, kept month by month, so that no sacred day passes unnoticed.
إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الشُّهُورِ عِندَ اللَّهِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا
"Indeed, the number of months with Allāh is twelve. - at-Tawbah 9:36"
